THE STORY OF IPSWICH RIVER CRAFT

Hi, I'm Pamela!

I have always been attracted to the water and have a little creativity in my blood. My Great Grandfather had over 40 vaudeville theaters along the east coast and I had been a Television Producer in NYC and Boston for more than 30 years.

I traveled the world producing stories for the networks and big TV shows. It was super exciting, but TV jobs dried up when the pandemic hit. And then boredom kicked in. So I decided to make a nautical sign in my garage that spelled out the name of our house on the water in Ipswich, Massachusetts, “Clambox”.

During "lockdown", a friend suggested I make more signs. It didn’t hurt that my TV producer husband John got his master craft-mates from his show "This Old House" to help show me the best ways to really make my signs pop. I was proud of my work and decided to post it on social media. The next day I got 10 orders.

Ipswich River Craft was born and a new way of looking at nautical art was made available to the public! In a matter of days, I went from National TV Producer to the Nauti Sign Lady. Who would have ever thought my little hobby would make newspaper headlines, and national TV’s shows including ABC World News Tonight - but it did, and now we are shipping like crazy all over the USA.
